The seventh series starts in 1959, during that year’s long, hot summer — but there’s no time for swimming and sunbathing when Geordie and Will (Robson Green and Tom Brittney) come across a dead man on their day off. Geordie’s new gaffer doesn’t want Geordie, or a civilian vicar, on the case, even when their instincts are proved right, but that doesn’t stop the genteel duo from digging out the truth. Meanwhile, Geordie has high hopes that he can win back Cathy, Will meets the woman of his dreams, and cool cat Leonard starts a new venture.
