IT takes two to tango – and no-one knows this more than the Dancing With The Stars contestants.

The hit RTÉ show has been plagued with romance rumours throughout this season.

However, Dublin singer Erica Cody and rugby player Jordan Conroy remained coy when asked about 2FM presenter Lottie Ryan insisting that behind-the-scenes hook-ups do happen.

Lottie, who is also the host of the official DWTS podcast, said: ‘Everything you’re thinking, it’s happening. Listen, everybody’s been locked up for two years. And if they’re single, and they’re having fun, more power to them.’

But when asked about Lottie’s comments, Erica pleaded ignorence: ‘It could be [happening], you’d never know… ’

Jordan was similarly in the dark, saying, ‘All that’s going on that I know of is dancing’.

The romance rumours follow hot on the heels of former Love Island star Matthew McNabb telling the Irish Mail on Sunday he’s found love. ‘I’m dating a few weeks

now. It’s early days so I want to keep it relatively quiet. But she does live in Dublin. She is well-known – we met through the show,’ he told the MoS late last month.

Meanwhile, as the stars prepare for the semi-finals which take place tonight on RTÉ One, Erica admitted she hasn’t ‘had a single second to go to the studio’ since the show began. Instead she’s been stockpiling recordings of song ideas on her phone.

‘By the time I get home, I’m already wanting to go to bed, so my songwriting has definitely had to adjust,’ she said.

By contrast, Ireland Sevens star Jordan has continued training with his club Buccaneers in Athlone during the show’s run, and revealed he has shed 4kg in weight. ‘Having to juggle both of them took a lot out of me,’ he said.

‘There were weeks when I was exhausted. Such high-pace dances and then you’re going to rugby training in the morning and you’re literally battering your teammates. It’s grand now – we’re near the end. I can manage it now.’
