Micheál didn’t have luck of the Irish in US

POOR Micheál Martin didn’t have much luck of the Irish during his obviously disappointing trip to America for the Paddy’s Day celebrations.

He hasn’t been able to catch a break since becoming Taoiseach in June 2020 – but he managed to catch Covid only hours before he was to meet President Joe Biden in the Oval Office on Thursday.

In a virtual meeting the Taoiseach took the opportunity to invite President Biden to visit Ireland, knowing that if he comes it’s unlikely to be before Christmas, by which time Mr Martin will have handed over to Leo Varadkar.
