NEW BOSS WON’T FIX UNITED MESS
THE degeneration of Manchester United into 1990s Liverpool continues apace. And the problems are so extensive, that the appointment of a stellar manager won’t fix them.
There is too much dysfunction at the club, and it will take years to address it.
That doesn’t obviate the need to pick a good replacement for the floundering Ralf Rangnick, but Mauricio Pochettino or Thomas Tuchel won’t fix a chaotic club.
Rafael Benitez is praised as the manager who finally restored some order to Liverpool, yet it took another two managers before they won the league.
