As season four builds towards a dramatic ending (with new episodes dropping weekly on the Player) there’s still time to catch up on what you’ve missed – or even start from scratch with the first series of this enormously popular black comedy drama. The series follows Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh, below right), a British intelligence operative on the trail of psychopathic assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer, below). As the chase progresses, the two become obsessed with each other. Based on the Villanelle novel series by Luke Jennings, each series is led by a different female head writer.
