DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland

6.30PM, RTé ONE ★★★★ Baz Ashmawy (right) and his team are back with a new series, and they are beginning with their most challengin­g build to date. They are heading to Shanbough, on the Kilkenny side of the River Barrow, where Johnny Alyward was gifted an empty field by his uncle adjacent to his own house. Johnny was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in November 2020, and struggled to buy or adapt a property that would meet his needs as the disease advances. Now the DIY SOS gang are building him and his family a home on the land.
