EGG-CELLENT DECORATIONS
Bunnies, chicks and bunting will create a cute Easter theme Emily Westbrooks
This time next week, children around the country will be tucking into Easter baskets full of chocolate and will then proceed to hop around high on sugar for the rest of the day. Exactly the stuff of childhood memories!
Adults, on the other hand, have different priorities for the day. A little festive cheer, a little enjoyment of the long holiday weekSetting end, perhaps with a nice brunch or afternoon tea. While the kids munch their sweets, you might just have the chance to sit down to an artfully decorated table for a delicious meal. Or at least nibble out of the kids’ baskets while they’re not looking!
the table is one of my favourite rituals of any celebratory meal. While the food might be the star of the show, setting the table with a little theme or special elements really provides the supporting players. You don’t have to purchase anything special for the occasion, but you certainly could! Shops like TKMaxx and HomeSense have a great selection of decorative bitts.
You can’t go wrong with a selection of cute bunnies and chicks, or decorated Easter eggs that can be used as centrepieces in a pretty glass
bowl. If you need an excuse to stock up on Cadbury mini eggs, they also make incredible decorations for desserts or on individual plates.
