PICK OF THE DAY

-

Derry Girls

9.15PM, CH4 ★★★★★ The third series of Lisa McGee’s comedy is both very welcome and also, sadly, the final one, and while there is hope that the Troubles may finally be over, the gang’s own problems are only just starting as they get ever closer to adulthood. Tomorrow is GCSE results day and confidence is low. If things go badly, how will they face their families? Meanwhile, a new member of the Quinn household is causing chaos in the neighbourhood. Kathy Kiera Clarke, Louisa Clare Harland, Tara Lynne O’Neil and Saoirse Monica Jackson (all pictured) star.

Hullraisers

9.45PM, CH4 ★★★ Lucy Beaumont is one of the writers of this new comedy, which follows a group of friends from Hull. Juggling jobs, families and relationships, they take every opportunity to let their hair down — even if it leaves chaos in its wake.

Killing Eve

10.15PM, RTÉ ONE ★★★ While this series has failed to live up to the previous seasons, events are starting to speed up a little at least, with Eve this week taking on an even bigger revenge mission against the Twelve — and realising that she may need Villanelle’s help.

Conviction: The Case Of Stephen Lawrence

11.10PM, RTÉ ONE ★★★★ DCI Driscoll (Steve Coogan) tries to win the trust of the Lawrence family in this thoughtful and sensitive truelife drama, while the team make a forensic breakthrough. Sharlene Whyte stars.
