Holly’s imposter syndrome hasn’t held her back
Imposter syndrome, the increasingly prevalent condition among celebrities keen to present themselves as relatable girl next doors, could more prosaically be described as a lack of confidence at work, a common enough affliction at the outset of a career. In an interview, Holly Willoughby, right, of UtV’s this morning says she suffered horribly from it, adding how ‘in my 20s and 30s I felt incredibly grateful I was given presenting jobs in tV. I never really thought I was good enough… I had massive imposter syndrome’.
Given how, aged 41, Holly is still going strong after seeing off several contenders for the this morning hot seat, can we assume that the affliction has few real symptoms and that it leaves victims perfectly unscathed?
