Killer Family: A Nanny Nightmare

This otherwise routine thriller manages to stand out for the fact it subverts one of the main tenets of its genre: namely, that the nanny is a secret psycho. Here, au pair Allesandra (Brytnee Ratledge) is all sweetness and innocence, and pleased to have landed a job for a well-to-do, out-of-town couple (Tristan Thomas, Annie Heise) and their eight-year-old daughter. At first, she couldn’t be happier with the arrangement — it gets her out of her overbearing sister’s house, for one thing. However, it seems that every perfect family hides a dark secret… Just once, we’d like to see a killer nanny hired by a killer family — the Alien vs Predator of made-for-TV Lifetime movies.
