The Keith Barry Experience

9.35PM, RTé ONE ★★★★ When his latest series began last month, Keith Barry (pictured) suggested it had come along at just the right time — after a tough couple of years, most of us could do with a little magic in our lives. The host has been serving up a mix of illusions and hypnotic experiences in front of a live studio audience, and recruiting some famous faces from the worlds of entertainment and music to help with his tricks. Tonight, he’ll once again be proving that he’s one of the masters of magic as viewers try to work out how he does it.

TOTP: Story Of 1996

8PM, BBC2 ★★★★ A night of 1990s nostalgia on BBC2 begins with this look back at the big musical moments from the year. It’s followed by TOTP: Biggest Hits 1996, The Spice Girls At The BBC, and a chance too see Manic Street Preachers: Radio 2 Live.

Britain’s Got Talent

8PM, VIRGIN ONE & UTV ★★★★ The talent search returned last week after taking a year off due to the pandemic, but has that year off given the contestants a chance to hone their skills? Ant and Dec are finding out tonight.

The 1% Club

9.15PM, UTV ★★★★ Lee Mack is a busy boy right now. As well as appearing in his sitcom Not Going Out and presenting Freeze The Fear With Wim Hof on BBC1, he can also be found hosting this show, which tests contestants’ logic and common sense.
