Fit for battle
Amber’s daily prep for court duel with Johnny
IT’S the showbusiness trial of the century, with two Hollywood stars pitted against each other in a televised tale of drink, drugs and severed fingers.
However, less reported on is what happens away from the courtroom cameras when Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s multimillion-dollar defamation trial adjourns for the day.
According to sources, Ms Heard maintains a regimented routine at home to ensure she’s battleready. ‘I get her up to do a workout every morning before she goes to court,’ said the source, who has temporarily relocated to Virginia with the actress and Ms heard’s one-year-old daughter Oonagh for the case.
‘At the end of the day, Amber has a laser focus on her daughter. After she puts her to bed, she comes downstairs, we cook dinner and try to wind down. Then she’s back to studying and preparing for the next day. She’s so stoic and focused.’
Heard and Depp, who were married for 15 months from 2015, are halfway through the trial. Depp, 58, is suing his ex-wife for $50m, after she described herself as a ‘public figure representing domestic abuse’ in a 2018 article she wrote for the Washington Post. Heard is counter-suing for $100m.
