Queen appearing on Jubilee balcony ‘is not guaranteed’
THE Queen’s appearance on the balcony at Buckingham Palace to mark her Platinum Jubilee is ‘by no means guaranteed’, a well-placed source has told the Mail on Sunday.
It was hoped she might be there beside family members, but that looks in doubt due to the 96-year-old’s limited mobility.
An insider said: ‘It could still happen but it is by no means guaranteed that we will see the Queen on the balcony.’
Every jubilee year of the Queen’s 70-year reign has featured a balcony moment, but courtiers fear that the long-held tradition may come to an end during the celebrations in June.
