A cool mocktail that can quench your hot flushes

JACKIE LYNCH’S Cooling Watermelon Mocktail: The high water content of watermelon can help to hydrate and cool the body if you’re struggling with hot flushes.

Take the flesh out of a watermelon and a couple of handfuls of raspberrie­s and mash them through a sieve. 2

Put the fruity mix in a blender and add the juice of half a lemon and a teaspoon of honey (optional) for sweetness, and whizz it up to a purée.

Stir it together with sparkling water in a jug – use as much or as little as you want to make the consistenc­y exactly how you like it.

Pour into a cocktail glass with some crushed ice, a slice of lime and a sprig of mint and serve.
