At swim, new birds
THESE beautiful baby swans made a cygnet-ure splash as they enjoyed the sunshine recently.
The eight cygnets emerged from their nest for a short guided tour of the pond in Dublin’s Bushy Park this week under the watchful eye of their mother.
Onlookers were delighted to catch sight of the baby birds.
And their proud mum seemed to take great joy in showing off her new brood in the park, which is home to many other birds and wildlife species, before escorting her little chicks back to the safety of their nest after around 30 minutes.
The resident heron was also a big hit with members of the public, but cautiously kept his distance and watched on as the cygnets temporarily took centre stage.
