THE TALK REAL-LIFE ISSUES
This RTÉ series discusses topical issues from a personal perspective. There’s no presenter or media personality to ask the probing questions. Instead, two people have ‘the talk’ — an open and honest conversation about an issue that’s close to their hearts.
The show pulls no punches, and topics covered range from racism in Ireland to body image and surrogacy. RTÉ Player
THE DECEIVED PSYCHO THRILLER
This eerie drama follows the story of Cambridge student Ophelia
Marsh, who falls desperately in love with her married lecturer Michael, seeing in him all the answers to her needs. When he mysteriously disappears, Ophelia tracks him down to his home in Ireland, where she discovers that his wife, successful author Róisín, has died in a fire. She also meets Seán, who is set to become her confidant — and Ophelia is really going to need someone to talk to as her situation becomes increasingly complicated, and she’s left doubting her own sanity. The show is a masterful mix of romantic drama and tense thriller with a hint of the supernatural thrown in for good measure. Virgin Media Player
