RÓISÍN MURPHY’S BIG CITY PLAN
There is a real need for our towns and cities to be made more liveable and sustainable. Róisín Murphy’s Big City Plan, a one-hour documentary, looks at what needs to change for that to happen. Decades-long neglect and poor planning have left large parts of our cities and towns devoid of residents and unsupportive of the needs of diverse, intergenerational communities. Róisín (right) asks whom should our cities and towns be for, how will our urban centres look in future decades, and how should communities be accommodated in these models? Thursday, 10.15pm, RTÉ One
