War criminals’ cards marked
UKRAINIAN troops are being given decks of playing cards featuring the faces of suspected Russian war criminals.
The idea replicates the cards the US military produced before the Iraq war, with its most wanted members of Saddam Hussein’s government.
Ukraine’s version has two packs featuring Vladimir Putin and members of the Russian government and military.
Ukrainian armed forces chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi cited the US Army’s cards from 2002 and said the new decks were produced with the help of volunteers from the international intelligence community InformNapalm, and featured ‘Russian war criminals and Russian politicians and propagandists’. He added: ‘By the joint efforts of the military and volunteers, by the efforts of all people of goodwill… racism will inevitably be beaten.’
