Electricity rose 28%,
gas jumped by more than 50%, and domestic heating oil rocketed by a shocking 90% in the year to April, according to CSO figures released this week. And that was before two key pipelines were shut down this week, further restricting gas supplies and adding a further 13% to gas prices. But the real impact of all this won’t hit until winter.
