ERLING HAALAND’S first hat-trick for Man City was a lesson in the art of poaching. The striker had 18 of City’s 907 touches (right), 10 of them were in the penalty area and seven were shots. Of his eight touches outside the box, two were kick-offs.

This was Haaland’s 13th career hat-trick and his fourth in Europe’s Big Five leagues. He’s still only 22.
