Teen is critical after stabbing outside nightclub

A TEENAGE boy is in a critical condition after being stabbed outside a nightclub.

The attack happened in Clondalkin in Dublin 22 outside the Vela Bar and Restaurant venue. Gardai were called to the scene in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The teenager was rushed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchards­town by ambulance.

The venue had hosted a Leaving Cert results party which had been attended by around 150 people.

A Garda spokesman said:

‘Gardaí in Clondalkin were alerted to a serious assault that occurred at a nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning September 3.

‘One male teenager received a number of injuries and was removed from the scene to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchards­town by ambulance.

‘His condition is described as serious.
