While BBC viewers over in England and Scotland hear the story of Patricia Page, aka “Rat Woman” – Northern Ireland’s only female rat catcher – BBC1 NI instead brings us a more palatable jaunt to the North. Here chef Paula McIntyre (pictured) looks to her own Ulster-Scots heritage to serve up traditional food with a modern or fusion twist – including roozle breid streetfood tacos filled with slowcooked beef, a Scotch pie filled with minced venison, and a veda bread and butter pudding.
