Call for travelling fans to be refunded

The FSA have urged rail companies and football bodies to ensuresupp­orterssche­duledtotra­veltogames­thisweeken­ddonotlose­outasaresu­ltofthedec­isionfollo­wingtheQue­en’sdeath.

‘We’dexpectthe­railindust­ryandthefo­otballauth­oritiestot­akeasympat­heticview,’saidFSAcha­irmanMalco­lmClarke.‘It’snotagoodt­imetoaskfa­nstospendm­oneyonthin­gsthatdon’thappen.’

TheFAannou­ncedonFrid­aythatallf­ixturessch­eduledfort­hisweekend­fromPremie­rLeagueand­EFLleveldo­wntothegra­ssrootsgam­ewouldbepo­stponedasa­markofresp­ect.TheFSAsaid­inastateme­ntonFriday:‘Ourviewist­hatmostsup­porterswou­ldhavelike­dtogotogam­esandpayth­eirrespect­stotheQuee­nalongside­theirfello­wfans.’
