ACTRESS and author Hannah Rose May has landed the deal of her dreams as her Rogue’s Gallery graphic novel has been optioned by Hollywood star Don Cheadle, the Irish Mail on Sunday can reveal.

The flame-haired starlet made the move from her native Meath to Hollywood six years ago with dreams of making it big in movies.

The aspiring actress clearly impressed State-side as she landed her first role in a major movie alongside Wesley Snipes in only her third audition.

Now the talented thespian is moving behind the camera as the comic book she wrote was snapped up by the Iron Man star himself who has plans to bring it to life in a TV series.

Cheadle, through his production company, This Radical Act, bought the option for

Hannah’s book in what industry sources in LA say was ‘a competitive situation’. She wrote and created the high concept thriller, which is set against the backdrop of toxic fandom and obsession. Marvel’s Spiderpunk artist, Justin Mason provided the artwork.

Ms May has also been enlisted as an executive producer on the TV adaptation.

Rogues’ Gallery follows Maisie Wade, who has just quit her role as the Red Rogue, a massively popular comic book character.

But when her abrupt exit from Red Rogue’s hit TV series leads to its unceremonious cancellation, Maisie finds herself trapped in her own home by a group of unhinged superfans.

Dressed up in the costumes of the Red Rogue’s arch villains, these diehards want to teach Maisie a lesson. If she is to survive the night, she must become the hero she has grown to despise.

Ms May’s acting career looks set to go meteoric and she has previously said making movies was always her lifelong ambition. ‘Acting has always been the dream. There were just way more modelling opportunities than acting. So I modelled for

years, saved and decided to take the risk and move to LA so I could start auditioning full time as an actress. I was lucky enough to find terrific management straight away.

‘When I landed in LA, what I didn’t realise was that it’s actually very difficult to even get an audition!’

As well as her role alongside Wesley Snipes, she appeared in hit comedy-drama Ballers with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
