Rocky patch in Sly’s marriage a stunt?
WHEN he announced his divorce a month ago, Sylvester Stallone covered a tattoo of his wife’s face on his arm with one of a dog.
But now the Rocky and Rambo star might reconsider that decision after announcing that he and wife Jennifer Flavin have reconciled.
The couple, who have been married for 25 years and have three grown-up daughters, shocked Hollywood when Ms Flavin filed for divorce on August 19.
At the time, reports said the rift started after a row over Stallone’s decision to get a Rottweiler called Dwight. While the 76-year-old actor denied he would break up with his wife over such a ‘trivial matter’, he posted pictures on social media of a tattoo artist covering an image of Ms Flavin’s face on his right bicep with one of a dog.
A source said: ‘The row started over the dog but escalated to include other issues that were causing problems. Sly was shocked when Jen filed for divorce but, at the time, tempers and emotions were running high. Both have had time to reflect and they’ve been talking a lot and they reconciled this week. They are very happy to be back together. They are the loves of each other’s lives.’
When they split, Ms Flavin, 54, wrote that the couple’s three girls – Sophia, 26, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20 – were her ‘priority’.
The family are filming a reality TV show for Paramount+, with some suggesting yesterday that the entire ‘divorce drama’ could have been a plot line for the show.
But a friend of Stallone told the MoS: ‘Sly was blindsided when Jen filed for divorce. Once it became a reality, he was in shock. He has spent the past month trying to win her back and, thankfully, it has worked... It wasn’t a publicity stunt.’
Last night a spokesman for Stallone declined to comment.
