HOME CINEMA CAN FIT ON YOUR WARDROBE
After the runaway success of its last Kickstarter campaign for a projector, Philips is teasing home cinema fans a UHD projector. The Screeneo U5 is an ultra short distance laser projector that gives up to a 150” 4K image from only 42cm away. It can be set up on a table, shelf or even a bedroom wardrobe for maximum flexibility. The DLP cinema technology delivers 4K sharpness, while the 2,200 lumen rating ensures a bright picture in darkness or daylight. Other features include keystone correction to fine-tune the picture; support for Android TV with Chromecast built in; Dolby Atmos; decent 20-watt speakers; 3.5mm jack and HDMI connectivity; wired internet port for faster connectivity, and a special port for home-automation integration.
■ Pricing, estimated to be around €1,600, and shipping dates will be confirmed shortly. In the meantime, you can register your interest at screeneo.com
