After three months of rehab, he returned home in a wheelchair, but tragedy struck again shortly afterwards when his wife Sarah died suddenly. Darren found himself trying to support his three bereaved sons in a house that he can no longer physically cope with. Now, the DIY SOS gang are here to adapt their home to fit the remarkable father’s needs.

Ultimate Hell Week: The Professionals 9.35PM, RTÉ ONE ★★★ Surviving on two to three hours of sleep a night, the celebs will have to overcome cold-water events, height tests and claustrophobic challenges as well as various trials of strength and determination.
