BUILDERS Kimpton Vale Ltd secured a substantial loan from the taxpayerfunded HBFI to build the Windmill development in west Dublin on the back of a guarantee that they had pre-sold the entire estate to the giant investment landlord Urbeo.

All 211 homes and apartments will be ready by the end of the year and all will be privately let by Urbeo.

The company declined to say what the rents for these one- and two-bed apartments in Clonsilla will be.

But they can expect at least €2,100 a month for a two-bed and €1,800 a month for a one-bed based on the HBFI’s own estimates from earlier this year.

One of the largest institutional landlords in Ireland, Urbeo controls 2,000 housing units worth close to €2bn.
