Rare sighting of the lesser snapped Stu at wedding

ONCE a regular on the red carpets of Hollywood, in recent years have seen actor Stuart Townsend has retreated from the spotlight to a more serene life in Costa Rica.

But the Howth man posed for a rare photo at his sister Chloe’s wedding in Portugal last week.

The 49-year-old Dubliner now lives in the tiny picturesque coastal town of Puerto Viejo where he is raising his two children and is believed to be running a garage.

Townsend, who made his name in movies like The Queen Of The Dammed and A League Of Extraordinary Gentleman, has appeared to be shunning the limelight of late.

While he posed for a family snap with brother Dylan and bride Chloe at the recent wedding, above, the former leading man is rarely in front of the camera these days.

However, his little brother, Dylan, appears to have taken up the acting mantle and he has also decamped from Howth to Costa Rica where he has immersed himself in the Central American Indie movie scene .

For her part bride Chloe looked every inch the movie star when she wed businessman Nick Kenny at Casa Velha in Quinta do Lago.

The wedding party enjoyed an apres-nuptials raucous party on the rooftop of the Bold Octopus where the newlyweds toasted the beginning of their life as man and wife along with their daughter Willow.
