During the pandemic, filmmaker Ken Wardrop cheered himself up by seeking out photos and videos of dogs on social media. He discovered he wasn’t alone — studies show that watching cute animals online is a genuine stress-reliever. This documentar­y meets some of the Irish canine characters and their owners (such as Suman and Toby, right) who have been making waves on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. They range from ‘dogfluence­rs’ with millions of followers to pampered pooches who have so far flown under the radar.

Philip Green faces hostility from the public both personally and profession­ally after the economic crisis of 2008 and the austerity measures taken by the UK government, and Topshop finds itself challenged from all directions.

The Walk-In 9PM, UTV ★★★

In this new drama based on real-life events, the far right in Britain is on the rise due to Brexit and Muslim terrorist attacks, culminatin­g in the murder of an MP. Activist Matthew Collins must infiltrate a group planning an attack.

The 2 Johnnies Do America 9.30PM, RTé2 ★★★

The comedy duo return to explore more of the United States, eventually reaching Texas after a shaky start. They take in one of America’s largest motorcycle rallies and get lessons in etiquette in Dallas.
