EXCEPTIONAL? REALLY, JURGEN?

-

ON Friday afternoon Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp leapt to the defence of Trent Alexander-Arnold after the defender featured in none of England’s games during the international break. ‘Whatever team I would have at the moment, I would pick Trent,’ said Klopp. ‘He is exceptional.’

Less than 24 hours later, Alexander-Arnold was exposed for Brighton’s first two goals. He was left on his backside by Leandro Trossard for the opener (main picture) before ambling back into position after he lost the ball, leaving acres of space for Brighton to find Trossard again for his second.
