NOTHING TO SEE HERE: McLaren driver Lando Norris was poised to overtake Red Bull’s Max Verstappen at high speed on a qualifying outlap (above left) yesterday, when the world champion suddenly swerved across the track (above, middle) and seemingly into his path. A furious Norris almost ended up in the barriers (above, right) and could have been involved in a serious accident, yet Mad Max escaped with no more than a rap on the knuckles from the F1 hierarchy
