IT’S MAXIMIN AGONY FOR NEWCASTLE

ALLAN SAINT-MAXIMIN has been held up in his efforts to return from a hamstring injury and is set to miss Newcastle’s crucial run of three matches in a week.

The Frenchman will be absent for the match at Old Trafford this afternoon and is likely to be sidelined for Everton’s midweek visit and next Sunday’s trip to Spurs.

His absence is a blow for Eddie Howe, whose side had climbed up to sixth in the Premier League on the back of successive victories.
