IT’S ALL ABOUT THE STYLING
Woodies interiors expert Bronagh Page shows how you can give your home a posh makeover with the store’s Trend Edit
If you’ve spent any time on the Woodie’s website or in one of their stores lately, you may have spied their latest collection, Trend Edit. It’s a new collection curated by Woodie’s designers full of products that work together to create the most up-to-date looks for your home.
In addition to a bespoke paint range, Trend Edit by Woodie’s collection includes wall art, rugs, mirrors, lighting, cushions, throws, tableware, furniture, storage solutions, candle holders and lanterns — plus artificial greenery. You’ll certainly find it to be a one-stop shop that’s rife with inspiration.
We touched base with Woodie’s homewares manager and interiors expert Bronagh Page to ask her opinion and advice on incorporating interiors trends.
She explained that homeowners or even renters could be using more of certain trends to really make them stand out in their homes. ‘People are inclined to buy one piece, for example an over-mantle mirror, which is a really nice way of introducing curves to a room,’ she explained. ‘However, interior design is all about balance, so don’t be afraid to have at least three curved elements throughout the room to benefit from the welcoming and softening impact of curves in your home.’
She suggested using a light fitting or lamp with a spherical shade, as well as a curved side table that will offset the boxy angles of a sofa.
‘There isn’t a room in my home that doesn’t have a natural element incorporated into the scheme,’ says Bronagh. She sings the praises of natural materials such as jute, wicker, and bamboo. ‘They are so versatile, I have them in storage options, rugs, lighting and kitchen and bathroom accessories.’ Bronagh is similarly enamoured with the biophilic trend of stocking up on house plants. ‘I honestly feel like a room is not complete without that touch of green,’ she adds
