THE MEANING OF LIFE

Comedian, actor and writer Ardal O’Hanlon talks frankly with Joe Duffy (both pictured) about his views on God, religion and the things, people and ideas that give his life meaning. He reflects on his childhood in a political household in a border county during the Troubles, and how comedy offered him a fulfilling focus for his talents. He also reveals the canine inspiration for his much-loved character, Father Dougal, in the hit comedy Father Ted.
