Garda info appeal following psychic’s death

- By Valerie Hanley

GARDAÍ investigating the death of Westmeath-based psychic Stefan Posschier have appealed to anyone who was in contact with the 65-yearold to contact them.

The pensioner’s body was discovered shortly after 6pm last Tuesday evening in the back garden of his home in Rattin, near Kinnegad.

It is believed the Belgian native, who had been living in Ireland for several years, was brutally stabbed to death. Detectives are investigating whether the killer then wrapped Mr Posschier’s body in a tarpaulin before trying to bury him in his own back garden.

No one has yet been arrested in connection with the psychic’s death.

A spokesman said last night: ‘Gardaí in Mullingar are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of Stefan Nivelles Posschier.

‘Investigating gardaí in Mullingar would like to speak to any person that met with or saw Stefan or interacted with him on social media in the days prior to the discovery of his body.’

Contact 044 938 4000 or the Garda confidential line at 1 800 666 111.
