A sacrifice made without recognition is one of the most noble things a person can do. Organ donations are, in essence, the gift of life — usually anonymous, and often posthumous. Such a gift is never made nor received lightly, and so this morning Fr Gary Chamberland (right, centre) leads the annual memorial service for the lives of all organ donors and their beneficiaries. The hour-long service takes place at the Newman University Church in St Stephen’s Green, Dublin.
