The brilliant detective Dr John Watson decides to conceal his sleuthing for the sake of his medical reputation, so invents a fictional investigator called ‘Sherlock Holmes’ — and hires a washed-up actor to play the role. Terrific period comedy with a top-class cast, headed by Michael Caine and Ben Kingsley.
