9PM, BBC2 ★★★★★ Casual channel-hoppers may get a shock if they happen upon this celebration of the 30th anniversary of Later — With Jools Holland, but don’t worry: you’ve not missed Christmas and this ain’t the Hootenanny. It does have echoes of Holland’s big end-ofyear bash, though, as artists from different eras and musical worlds who have appeared on the show gather and perform at the Eventim Apollo in west London. Expect Robert Plant, First Aid Kit, Michael Kiwanuka, Richard Hawley, Seasick Steve, Imelda May and more.
