CORONATION STREET

-

Debbie’s in a financial mess. Nothing new there, but why doesn’t somebody point out to her that if you never hand customers their bills and give away most things on the ’ouse, you’ll never make money?

When Leanne and Nick check their finances (that must take all of ten seconds), they realise they can make Debbie (below) a low offer for her half of the Bistro, but they doubt she’ll accept it. Will the answer to Debbie’s prayers be Ronnie, who offers to call a broker friend to try to get a ‘fair offer’. What’s ‘fair’? Half of nothing is hardly a good deal. Debbie’s new plan is to try to get Nick and Leanne to sell their shares. They have other things on their minds, though, when Harvey agrees to see Sam in prison.

Money talk is at the top of Bernie’s agenda when she celebrates a fake lottery win in the Bistro, and will Alya ever stop frowning? It’s the million-dollar question when, no sooner has she sorted out Stu’s situation, than she turns her attention to Griff and shares her worries about him with Yasmeen. That’s a safe route; you could raise Yasmeen’s suspicions over a lettuce.
