Just Whyte jewels for an Enchanted Disney hit

-

THE dazzling designs of a Cork jeweller have played a starring role in bringing to life the magic of Disney’s Enchanted follow-up hit movie, Disenchanted. Pat Whyte’s statement accessories were hand-selected for the highly anticipated sequel by Oscar-winning Dublin costume designer Joan Bergin.

The Emmy-winning costumier chose Pat’s sparkling creations to be worn by none other than the Disney Plus musical’s leading lady herself, Amy Adams.

Pat’s jewels adorn an opulent gown worn by the two-time Golden Globe winner along with drop gem earrings for a deep blue velvet gown with a peacock feathertrimmed neckline.

Clonakilty-born Pat says: ‘I was so shocked and honoured when out of the blue I got a call from Joan.

‘She chose a number of my pieces as she has long been a fan of mine.’

She added that it was a ‘wonderful

honour’ to have her pieces feature in the movie and designer Joan echoed that it was a ‘pleasure’ to have them shown off.

Joan explained that for her first Disney venture, she had decided to take a ‘child’s view of a fairytale’, working with bold shapes in great colours adding a ‘touch of elan’ to garments.

‘That’s where Pat Whyte’s wonderful pieces fitted in perfectly,’ added the Cabra designer.
