ROAD TRIP REUNION

Series one of this Aussie comedy was a treat, with Tim Minchin as Lucky, a musician on a road trip, with a piano, in the hopes of seeing his dying mum for one last time. He gave a lift to runaway teen Meg (Milly Alcock, above with Minchin), who was on a mission of her own. For most of us, it was the first time we’d seen the brilliant Alcock, who has since gone on to bigger things in House Of The Dragon. She returns for series two, which reunites Lucky and Meg years later, as his life in particular reaches a real low point. Meg isn’t happy either, but she’s better at hiding it, and the

two set off on a new journey that will hopefully fix both of their lives. This isn’t hugs and learning, though — Upright is a raw show all round, and all the better for it, although the language may be too much for some. Series 1 already available; series 2 box set from Tuesday
