Baby Driver actor Ansel Elgort (pictured) takes the lead role in this new drama series, which is loosely inspired by a true story and follows a young American journalist who gets caught up in Tokyo’s underbelly during the 1990s. Elgort plays Jake, who lands a job in the crime desk of a Japanese paper.

He’s asked to cover a stabbing, and becomes convinced the case is linked to a bigger story — but it seems that in Tokyo, most reporters have learned not to ask too many questions. However, that doesn’t stop him from embedding himself with the Tokyo Metro PD.
