EASTENDERS

-

Was Alfie always this irritating? Yes, he’s always been OTT, but his new impression of a manic children’s entertainer is exhausting. The cheeky chappie routine’s worn so thin it’s threadbare. Doesn’t he have an off switch or, at the least, volume control?

Forced to tell Kat he’s lost Phil’s money, he’s back in rogue geezer mode and enlists her help to assist him sell dodgy goods in the market (is there any other sort?). Though he’s forced to pack up when Honey arrives, Alfie (below) makes some money. Despite being impressed by his efforts to enlist volunteers for another fundraising idea, will it be enough for Kat to succumb? Not if she values her eardrums.

Harvey’s not having much luck holding onto money (rather like his success rate with women), and his friends rally round when they learn he’s been sending Sophia cash. Bobby and Freddie hatch a plan, and Freddie makes an interesting discovery.

There’s great excitement at the Vic as everyone prepares for the Christmas lights party but, inevitably, there’s a dampener on proceedings when Sonia gets a call to say that Dot has died.
