Sharon Corr shares her skin, makeup and hair secrets

It’s 29 years since The Corrs launched their first album, Forgiven, Not Forgotten but you wouldn’t know it’s been that long looking at Sharon Corr. Violinist and singer Sharon (54) lives in Madrid with her children but regularly pops back to Dublin as the No7 ambassador for Ireland. In town for the recent launch of its Daily Defence SPF50 (€32.99), I grabbed 10 minutes with Sharon to talk all things beauty. She always looks glamorous, but is she very high-maintenanc­e, I Sharon is 54 but says she maintains a simple routine ask? ‘Well, I’m dressed up today but I’m extremely low-maintenanc­e. I am a slave to the Future Renew range now, that’s my daily go-to all of the time. It’s just so gentle on my skin and it feels better afterwards,’ she says.

Living in Madrid affects Sharon’s skin. ‘It’s an extremely dry climate there, so you tend to get very dry skin. I need to moisturise extremely well several times a day because I’m Irish and I have sensitive skin. I don’t go too far with stuff like anti-ageing skincare.

‘As you age, you notice with hormonal changes that your skin is more prone to flare-ups, redness or reactions. I’m more sensitive skin-wise as I’m older, so I can’t put on perfumed products. I think less is
