ower Records on Dublin’s Daw­son Street will open its doors at 8am to­mor­row for those ea­ger to get their hands on limited edi­tion al­bums and sin­gles re­leased for Record Store Day. In­store per­for­mances will take place in its café through­out the day, in­clud­ing sets by Lisa Han­ni­gan, Lit­tle Mata­dor, Join Me in the Pines (the new project by Bell X1’s Dave Ger­aghty) and Derry singer-song­writer SOAK.

They’ll have some com­pe­ti­tion for cus­tomers from nearby Grafton Street, how­ever; a new branch of HMV is open­ing to­mor­row in the lo­ca­tion of the for­mer A-Wear store, and is of­fer­ing 40 per cent off all vinyl pur­chases and live per­for­mances from We Cut Cor­ners, The Rip­tide Move­ment, Her­mitage Green and Seo Linn. The RAGE. on Fade Street ,will have live mu­sic and DJs, dis­counts and give­aways throughthe day.

The Light­house Cin­ema in Smith­field will be screen­ing Em­pire Records at 10.30pm to­mor­row and Dublin’s Girl Band will re­lease their 25-sec­ond-long sin­gle The Cha Cha Cha, limited to 100 flex­i­disc copies.
