Coffee, We’ve been becoming quietly obsessed with this little gem of a track. It has a terribly indie pedigree – the vocalist from Appalachian group Mountain Men, and a producer – but the result is pop as such. Imagine a more world weary, more Casiotone Ellie Goudling – and we know we’re not selling this well. With lyrics that sum up a small universe (“I know my words will dry upon the skin, just like a name I remember hearing / Wild winters ,warm coffee”), this track will melt your heart.

has confessed that she’s not a bookworm, telling Hello! that “I don’t have the attention span to read a book.” It’s not for want of trying, she explained. “I recently tried to read a biography of Michael Jackson and lasted 16 pages. And I tried to read Fifty Shades of Grey and lasted 20 pages. I just get bored too easily – even with that one!’’ Perhaps it’s her choices that are letting her down, but either way, she much prefers to relax by “being at home on the sofa watching telly with popcorn and my dogs”.

Meanwhile, has turned his back on traditional music formats, telling Capital FM that he’s looking for new ways to record music. “What is an album now? It’s all about sharing now. I’d rather look at it as a collection of things to share. An album - that’s like borrowing from 1950s. It feels like such an outdated format. 16 songs? I’d rather do 45 Vines and pay attention to six seconds.”

has made a new friend in Madonna, apparently. Katy says, “I’ve got to know her recently and she’s incredible . . . She had given me some advice on how to maintain my health throughout the tour.” Katy went on, “she had given me a number for a crystal healer. Everything stems from people’s energy so it makes sense. I sleep with a rose quartz in my hand at night. It’s supposed to help you find love and also heal your heart.”
