Buskers bus­tle into Clon­mel

Buskers are as much a part of Ir­ish cul­ture as Guin­ness, Tayto and Peig Say­ers. The fourth Clon­mel Busk­ing Fes­ti­val be­gan yes­ter­day and runs un­til Sun­day. Free entertainm­ent is pro­vided for all, with more than 10,000 peo­ple ex­pected to swarm the Tip­per­ary town’s streets and bars this week- end. The fes­ti­val cul­mi­nates with a huge street céilí and a head­line set by Mundy on Sun­day, with other well-known names in­clud­ing John Spil­lane, Ba­gatelle and Dublin City Ram­blers also on the bill.
