High­lights in­clude six con­certs, in St Mary’s Cathe­dral, fea­tur­ing Ir­ish, Amer­i­can, French and Ital­ian harp en­sem­bles and soloists. FES­TI­VAL BURREN TOLKIEN SO­CI­ETY

While on his many vis­its to the area, did the unique Burren land­scape in­flu­ence JRR Tolkien in the writ­ing of his epic Lord of the Rings se­ries? With walks, talks, writ­ing work­shops, de­bates, mu­sic, film screen­ings and fine dining, the week-long fes­ti­val will cel­e­brate the in­cred­i­ble fan­tasy world cre­ated by Tolkien, in the set­ting of the oth­er­world­li­ness of the Burren.
