Take to the streets for Cul­ture Night

Cul­ture Night will re­turn to Ire­land’s towns and cities on Septem­ber 19th, with a huge num­ber of free events tak­ing place and unusual venues throw­ing open their doors to the public for one even­ing only.

In Dublin, the pro­gramme in­cludes an even­ing at Wind­mill Lane Record­ing Stu­dio with a live gig by an as-yet-un­named act; mu­si­cal per­for­mances at the DIT Con­ser­va­tory of Mu­sic and the Royal Ir­ish Academy of Mu­sic; a gig at the Sugar Club fea­tur­ing I Have a Tribe, The Taquin Ex­per­i­ments and more; live mu­sic by Kate’s Party at Out­house, while RTÉ Ra­dio 1’s Arena will broad­cast live from Tem­ple Bar.

In Cork, high­lights in­clude a con­cert by can­dle­light by the Van­brugh Quar­tet at City Hall. NUI Gal­way hosts a recital by the Con Tempo Quar­tet, Drogheda’s Droichead Arts Cen­tre plans a trad gig by Sea­mus Begley and guests, while Lim­er­ick’s Lime Tree The­atre will host No Re­grets, an Edith Piaf trib­ute show, for free.
